International cooperation

On March 2, 2021, the Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Azizullah Omar, visited the Academy. The rector of the Academy, Mr. Yerlan Abil, noted the importance of bilateral cooperation, which contributes to the strengthening of Kazakh-Afghan relations for the benefit of both countries. There weretouched upon the friendly relations of the Academy with Afghanistan that had already been established for more than 6 years.
In 2015, a Memorandum was signed between the Academy and the Institute of Diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, as well as the Ministry of Education of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Today, statistics show that during all this time, 6 civil servants of Afghanistan graduated from the Academy and 6 masters of this country are studying in the current academic year. In addition, we would like to inform you that in 2017, 5 diplomats from Afghanistan took part in the training “Capacity building on Mediation and Conflict Prevention for state officials from Central Asia and Afghanistan”, organized by the Academy and the UN Center for Preventive Diplomacy in Central Asia.
The agenda of today’s meeting discussed issues ofadmission to the master’s and doctoral educational programs of the Academy, as well as the allocated grant programs for the regional Hub countries.
Both sides expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation between the Academy and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
During the visit, all necessary quarantine measures were observed.
